This sport of
H. 'Sieboldiana'
was originated by Dr.
David Reath of Michigan and registered on his behalf by
Kevin Walek (Hosta Registrar) in 2009. It is a large size plant about 24 inches high by 50 inches wide with
blue-green foliage that has yellow splotches. It
has the general characteristics of the mother plant but has gold
colored blotches in the spring which turn green later in the
season. The leaves are moderately corrugated, ovate and have a glaucous bloom on top. It bears
near white tubular shaped flowers from mid-June
into July.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "This odd cultivar apparently is the same as 'Doctor Reath'."
