This
tissue culture sport of H. 'Piedmont Gold' was registered by
Mark Zilis of Illinois in 1988.
It is a large size hosta growing to about 20 inches high by 42
inches wide. The gold colored leaves have white marginal
variegation which develops a "drawstring" effect later in the
season. Its near white flowers bloom in July.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "If the first flush of growth is removed, the second set of
leaves will be more attractive. Better yet, don't grow the
plant!"
