This hybrid of H. 'Undulata' was originated by
Cynthia (mother) and Chet
(son) Tompkins of Oregon but registered
on their behalf by
Peter
Ruh of Ohio in 2010. It is a small size hosta about 8 inches
high by 11 inches wide with medium green colored foliage
that has a creamy white medial (center) variegation. The
leaves are slightly rippled, slightly twisted, slightly
folded, slightly wavy, ovate and dull on top. It bears
tubular shaped, purple striped flowers on scapes about
18 inches tall.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...is the same as 'Undulata Univittata' and should not
be considered a separate cultivar."
