This cultivar is a sport of H. 'Revolution' which was registered by Don Rawson of Michigan in 2010. The leaves are a two tone green color with a medium green base color and a darker green margin. It grows into a large size (21 inches high by 44 inches wide) plant with somewhat twisted foliage. The leaves are very slightly corrugated, broadly ovate and shiny on top. From July into August, medium lavender flowers bloom on creamy yellow scapes.

The registration information says, "...may be a tetraploid...variegation becomes subtle as season progresses..."

As a sport of 'Revolution, this tetraploid features thick leaves with a medium green center and an extremely dark green margin. Though fully sun tolerant, the color combination is best when planted in a fair amount of shade because in full sun, the variegation becomes subtle by mid-summer. Larger than 'Revolution and exhibits good vigor. A mature clump will steadily add several eyes each year and become at least four feet across. A big bonus besides the thick leaves is the abundance of dark purple flowers held just above the foliage on strong, sturdy scapes.
