A non-registered cultivar from Bill Janssen of Collector's Nursery in Washington, this plant is a sport of H. 'Gold Standard'. It has heavily variegated foliage that changes throughout the season. Pale lavender flowers bloom in mid-July.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "Its continuous series of leaf color changes gives 'Collector's Banner' a multi-colored appearance, especially in juvenile clumps and early in the growing season. In the landscape, it makes an attention-grabbing specimen."
