Hosta 'Chiquita'

Mervin Eisel of Minnesota registered this cultivar of unidentified parentage in 1979. It grows into a large size hosta about 22 inches in height with a spread of about 50 inches. The leaves are lanceolate to elliptic-ovate, slightly wavy and have thin substance. It bears medium lavender flowers in July.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "Visit a planting of 'Chiquita' in July or August and you'll probably walk past it without taking much notice to its plain medium green foliage. Step back to early spring and 'Chiquita' would be the only thing you'd remember from that day!"
