This tissue culture sport of H. 'Paul's Glory' was originated by Mark Zilis of Illinois and registered by Peter Ruh of Ohio in 1997. It grows into a large size hosta about 20 inches in height and 4 feet wide with leaves that start chartreuse and turn to bright yellow as the season progresses. The pale lavender flowers bloom from mid-July into August.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...originated as a tissue culture sport that I sent to Peter Ruh for observation. Pete and I named it on August 5, 1993 for his hometown, Chesterland, Ohio. In the landscape, it makes an excellent complement to 'Paul's Glory' and 'Wheaton Blue'."
