Hosta 'Chelsea Babe'

This cultivar is considered to be a smaller form of H. 'Fortunei Albopicta' which was registered in 1988 by the British Hosta and Hemerocallis Society on behalf of the originator, Eric Smith and Roger Grounds of England. The gold colored leaf has green marginal variegation. Lavender flowers bloom in July.

"Plant is purported dwarf form of H. 'Fortunei Albopicta'. Named by Smith/Grounds. Has only 5 to 6 pairs of veins and may not be related to H. 'Fortunei' but may be a viridescent mediovariegated form of another taxon. By some authorities connected with H. 'Maya'."
