Hosta 'Change of Tradition'

A tissue culture sport of H. 'Lancifolia', this cultivar was registered by Mark Zilis of Illinois in 1988. Forms an 18 inch high, large size mound that spreads to about 33 inches in width. Medium lavender flowers bloom in mid-August.

"I chose this one because it has characteristics that are rather rare in hostas - very narrow leaves with variegation (green center and white margin). It is an excellent plant for mass plantings. The leaves are about eight inches long and three-fourths of an inch wide. It contrasts well with other hostas too numerous to mention."
