Hosta 'Celtic Uplands'

This cultivar is a hybrid of (H. 'Swoosh' seedling x H. 'John Wargo') x H. yingeri that was registered by Don Dean of Minnesota in 2005. It has shiny leaves and grows into a large size hosta with a height of around 21 inches with a spread of 38 inches. The lavender flowers are produced later in the season starting in August.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...shows a close affinity to its pollen parent, H. yingeri, though it becomes a much larger plant."

The registration materials state: "...very upright vase, red petiole, deep matte green..."
