Hosta 'Carrie'

This is one of those cases where there are two hostas with the same name. Neither are currently registered with The American Hosta Society. The first one to be registered would become the "official" hosta of that name and the others would have to be renamed.

Originated by Ron Livingston of Michigan, this non-registered cultivar is a seedling of Hosta plantaginea × H. 'Elvis Lives'. It is a medium size hosta about 15 inches high by 30 inches wide with light green foliage. The ovate shaped foliage is slightly wavy and moderately shiny on the bottom side. Fragrant white flowers are borne in August.

Hosta Helper will call this plant 'Carrie' (Livingston).

'Carrie Ann', a cultivar from David Stone of Connecticut was mistakenly listed as 'Carrie' in the 1989 AHS registration document.

Hosta Helper will call this plant 'Carrie' (Stone).
