Carl Calderara of Rhode
Island in 1991. It
has an "H. nakaiana
background" according to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "It forms a small size (10 inches high) mound with slightly cupped
leaves and pale lavender flowers from late June into July.
According to
The Hosta Handbook by Mark Zilis (2000), this cultivar is one of many that have the "...'Blue
Cadet' look (dense, rounded mound of heart shaped, bluish green
foliage topped by dense clusters of lavender flowers in July)."
