This cultivar is a hybrid
of a golden colored
Tardiana-type hosta x an unnamed hosta and was registered by
Paul Aden of New York in 1983. The medium size plant grows to about
11 inches in height with a spread of around 32 inches.
Its leaves are light gold in color with a wide white
marginal variegation. The foliage is cupped and
moderately corrugated. Light bluish purple flowers bloom
from mid-July into August.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "Paul Aden introduced many outstanding hostas, but this
is not one of them...is not a particularly good grower
or slug-resistant."
