This non-registered cultivar of unidentified parentage was originated by Gary Gossett of Terra Nova Nurseries in Oregon. It was granted a U.S. patent in 2012. The medium size (15 inches high by 30 inches wide) hosta has thick substanced, blue-green foliage that show hues of purple when it emerges in the spring. There is a red-purple spot where the leaf and petiole meet at the bottom of the blade. Lavender flowers bloom from July into August.

The patent application lists the following as similar cultivars: "Compared to Hosta 'Purple Haze’, the new cultivar has bluer foliage, darker petioles, and a dark leaf base rather than a blue green leaf base."
