Van
Wade of Wade and Gatton Nursery (Closed 2019) of Ohio registered this fast growing sport of
H. 'Paul's Glory' in 1999. It forms a
large size mound about 26 inches tall and 69 inches
wide. The leaves have a glaucous bloom on the top and bottom. Pale lavender,
tubular flowers with stripes appear from mid-June
into July on scapes up to 32 inches tall.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...the gold center of 'American
Glory Be' colored up later than that of 'Paul's Glory'."
