Julia Geissler registered this cultivar of unidentified parentage in
1970. It grows into a large size plant about 19 inches in height
with a spread of around 42 inches. The bright gold foliage is
moderately corrugated. It bears lavender colored flowers in
July. According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...one of the first hostas registered with
The American Hosta
Society..." Ahamo" is Omaha spelled backwards."
