									Rod Lysne
of Northern Grown Perennials in Wisconsin in
						2019, this
cultivar is a seedling of unidentified
parentage. It is a medium size hosta that forms a clump
						around 20 inches high and
about 28 inches wide with green foliage.
			The petioles on
the long, narrow leaves are red speckled and the flower scapes
are purple as are the seed pods which are almost black.
Deep purple flowers with lighter inner striations bloom
from mid-July into August on scapes 24 to 26 inches
						tall. The registration
materials state: "...Lanceolate green foliage with
intense purple flowers held on reddish petioles; near
						black seed pods." The
originator recommends planting with strong morning sun
for best flowering performance and leaf coloration.
