The garden at the Collier
County Florida Extension Office is open to the public during
regular business hours, Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to
4:00 p.m. It consists of a number of smaller theme gardens
covering a wide range of topics of interest to the home
gardening public. The displays include a native plant
garden, garden of the senses, butterfly garden, and
hydroponic/aquaponics demonstration greenhouse.
This is a nice facility run by the University of Florida
Extension office about 15 miles outside of Naples, Florida.
We visited in February which is probably the low point of
the gardening season so it was not the best time to judge. I
am sure that it is a useful facility to help local gardeners
with the needs of their home landscapes.
