The 15 acre garden is located
in the Berkshire Mountains near Stockbridge, Massachusetts
and is operated by a non-profit, membership organization.
Its mission is to fulfill the community's need for
information, education and inspiration concerning the art
and science of gardening and the preservation of the local
environment.
The gardens are located on
both sides of West Stockbridge Road. Its collections
emphasize plants either indigenous to or adapted to growing
in the Berkshires. They have over 3,000 species and
cultivars represented in the garden.
