Petworth House is
a 17th century mansion set in a beautiful park landscaped by
"Capability" Brown. It has been featured in several paintings by
Turner which along with works by Van Dyck, Reynolds and Blake are
displayed in the house.
A 700 acre landscaped park is home to the largest herd of
fallow
deer in England. There is a 30 acre woodland garden near
the house which features
rhododendrons and azaleas and large,
specimen trees.
