As
the name implies, this 14th century manor house is
surrounded by a moat is crossed by a hump back stone bridge.
There are three courtyards and gardens with several
fountains. The property was turned over to the
National Trust and has been nicely restored.

If you are in the area, this is
a nice stop for an hour or so for both the historic house
and the garden. During our visit in 2004, there was a lot of
renovation going on which should be completed by now.
