These gardens, associated with Alnwick Castle, fell into a state of neglect for many decades. In 1999, a rejuvenation program was started and the gardens have been greatly improved. The Alnwick Garden Trust, with the cooperation and leadership of the Duchess of Northumberland, is responsible for the vast strides the garden has taken in the past few decades to become the wonderful garden of today.
