Chaumont means "bald mountain" and
this is the largest park in Paris. It is landscaped in the
English style and contains over 3 miles of wonderful views
of the city. There are over 600 trees in the 5 acre park.
In the
1860's,
Baron Haussmann was in
charge of transforming the former garbage dump into
beautiful gardens. There is a man-made lake, Roman style
temple, waterfalls and footbridges.
