below are people credited for the origination and/or registration of
multiple new cultivars of hosta. The top list are those who are
associated with hybrid cultivars. Some of these new plants are the
result of breeding done by the hands of the hybridizer while others
were accomplished by bees.
The lower list are those who have originated or registered hosta
sports. These new plants were either "discovered" in the garden or
nursery or came about as the result of the tissue culture
propagation process.
