Hosta rectifolia pruinosa
aka Tonoko Tachi Gibōshi

First described by Dr. Fumio Maekawa in 1940, this form of the species H. rectifolia from Japan. It is a semi-upright growing medium size hosta with shiny, medium green foliage with a whitish bottom side. The leaves are moderately corrugated, wavy and have good substance. Purple flowers bloom from late July into August.

Mikiko Lockwood in an article on The Hosta Library titled, A Little About Japanese Hosta Terms defines the term tachi as upright, 'Tachi Gibōshi' or H. rectifolia.
