large size (20 inches high by 48 inches wide)
cultivar is of unidentified parentage. It is a dark
green hosta with golden-yellow streaked variegation. The
broadly ovate leaves are slightly cupped, slightly
corrugated and slightly shiny on the bottom. Near white
flowers from pale lavender buds which open translucent
white (both sides) with pale lavender streaks inside
bloom from July into August. The streaked 22 to 24 inch
tall scapes bear viable seeds in streaked pods.
The registration
materials state: "Streaked, heavy-substanced breeder has
abundant pollen, readily accepts pollen and sets a large
quantity of seeds. All seeds germinate and approximately
20% of the seedlings produced are either streaked or
have heavy substance...emerges with gold streaks on dark
green changing to white streaks on green ."
