This cultivar was listed on the MyHostas Database website. Originated in South Africa, this non-registered cultivar is a sport of H. ventricosa.  It forms a medium size mound with shiny, yellow, heart shaped foliage. The medium purple, bell-shaped flowers with purple anthers are borne in July. The flower scapes may have faint red on them and bear a single bract about half way up.
