A sport of H. 'Sagae', this
cultivar was registered by
Peter Ruh of Ohio in 1997. It grows into a
giant size plant 30 inches high with a spread of around 70
inches. The broadly ovate, moderately wavy foliage is chartreuse
to gold with a yellow marginal variegation. It forms an upright
mound with thick substance. Pale lavender flowers bloom from
mid-July into August.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "By early summer, however, it cannot be distinguished from 'Sagae'."
