A sport of H. 'August Moon', this
cultivar was registered by
Virginia and Brian Skaggs in 2000. The
foliage is gold with large green splotches along the veins. It
grows into about 16 inches in height by 36 inches wide. The
foliage is moderately corrugated and a bit unruly. It bears pale
lavender flowers from mid-July into August. According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "Viewing 'Xanadu Paisley' for the first time leaves one
feeling that he or she has just seen a prime example of
Hosta
Virus X... Though Brian reported that 'Xanadu Paisley' has tested
negative for HVX several times...there is still some debate
about this among hosta collectors."
