Registered by Dr. Doug Beilstein of Ohio in
2018,
this medium size (11 inches high by 30 inches wide) cultivar is a seedling of
an unnamed open-pollinated streaked seedling. Its leaves
are dark green with light green in the transition areas
near the creamy white medial (center) variegation. They
are broadly ovate, slightly folded, moderately
corrugated and dull on top and bottom. The petioles have
the same creamy centers and dark green edges as the leaf
blade. Pale lavender flowers bloom on scapes 20 to 22
inches tall during July. It sets seeds in cream colored
pods on the top half of the scape but their viability
was not known at the time of registration.
The registration materials state: "...Eye pleasing,
semi-tight clump of moderately puckered, tri-color
leaves. The soft, creamy-yellow center blends into a
light green, then dark green border. This plant begs you
"Look at me twice."...Center emerges creamy yellow
changing to creamy white, and the color contrast
sharpens as the season progresses..."
