this large size (20 inches high by 36 inches wide) cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Christmas Tree Gala' ×
H. 'Donahue Piecrust'. It is a medium to dark
green hosta with gold, cream and chartreuse streaked
variegation. The broadly ovate leaves are moderately
rippled and relatively flat overall. Medium lavender
flowers bloom in July on scapes 22 to 32 inches tall
followed by viable seeds. The
registration materials state: "Foliage expresses
streaks with various hues of gold, cream and chartreuse
on medium to dark green leaves with gently undulating
edges. Develops nice puckering with age." |
