This upright, fast
growing cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Urajiro
Hachijo' which was registered by
Danny Van Eechaute of
Belgium in 2006. It is a medium size plant about 12 inches high
by 19 inches wide with dark green foliage. The leaves
are lightly folded, ovate and slightly shiny on top.
Pale lavender, tubular flowers bloom from mid-July into August.
Mikiko Lockwood in an article on The Hosta Library titled,
A Little About Japanese Hosta Terms defines the term urajiro as white-backed or white underside.
