Hosta 'What Happened'

Registered by Harry Hoks of Minnesota in 2022, this fast growing cultivar is of unidentified parentage. It is a medium size hosta about 16 inches high by 27 inches wide. The foliage is called "multi-colored" and is described as "with differing areas of greenish yellow, lime green, grayish green and blue green" (which we will interpret as a blue-green leaf with streaked variegation). Its broadly ovate leaves are slightly cupped, slightly corrugated and slightly shiny on top. White flowers with very light purple center stripes bloom from late June into July on scapes 18 to 20 inches tall. This cultivar dose not set seeds.

The registration materials state: "Multi-colored leaves with no repetitive pattern in stripes, streaks or variations...holds color throughout the season ."
