This cultivar originated as a
self-pollinated seedling of H. 'Galaxy' and was registered by
Wm and Eleanor Lachman of Massachusetts in 1991. The 18 inch high mound
spreads to a width of 43 inches. Its leaves are narrowly ovate,
has average substance and a smooth texture. Medium purple,
funnel shape flowers bloom in July. According to
The Hostapedia by
Mark Zilis (2009), "Though a seedling of 'Galaxy',...looks nothing like it,
sharing more in common with its 'Beatrice' ancestor."
