This cultivar is part of the "Warwick Series" of hosta cultivars developed by
Dr. Lloyd (Gil) Jones of Michigan and it was registered in 1993. It is a
self-pollinated seedling of H. 'William Lachman' that grows into a medium size (18 inches high by 48 inches wide) mound with slightly wavy foliage of average
substance. Near white flowers bloom in August on tall (44 inches high) scapes
followed by viable seeds.
The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by
Diana
Grenfell (2009) states: "Medium growth rate. Use as a background specimen
or in a shrub border."
