Of unidentified origin ation, this non-registered cultivar is a sport of H. 'Royal Standard'. This cultivar's color patterns seems to be produced by Hosta Virus X infection.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "This virus-infected cultivar can still be found in some gardens, though few collectors will admit having it. To some it is beautiful, though I think quite the opposite...If you somehow have a specimen, destroy it."
