Bastille of Aux Mille Hostas in Canada, this
non-registered cultivar is a hybrid of H. 'Sieboldiana'.
It is a giant size hosta with wavy, blue-green foliage.
The flowers are white/pink in color and are bell shaped
with very thick bracts on the scapes.
The cultivar was
named for renowned hostaphiles the late
Van
and his wife, Shirley
Wade of Wade and Gatton Nursery in Ohio.
