this medium size (16 inches high by 36 inches wide) cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Purple
Verticulated Elf' ×
H. 'Smoke Signals'.
The intensely blue-green
foliage is heavily rippled, lanceolate, moderately
twisted and moderately folded with a glaucous bloom on
top. Pale lavender flowers on scapes 24 to 28 inches
tall bloom from late July into August followed by viable
seeds. The
registration materials state: "...Unusually grayish
color and heavy wax bloom.." |
