This non-registered
cultivar is a sport of H. 'Turnabout' from
Ran Lydell of
Cooks Nursery and Eagle Bay Gardens in New York. The medium size (14 inches
high by 32 inches wide) hosta has wavy, medium green
foliage. Its leaves are lanceolate, generally smooth
with average substance. Pale lavender flowers bloom in
August followed by viable seeds.
The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by
Diana
Grenfell (2009) states: "Leaves are upright then abruptly horizontal.
Numerous flower scapes arise from the center of the
mound and tower above the leaves."
