This upright growing cultivar
which is a sport of H. 'Machete' was originated by
Bob Solberg of Green Hill Farm in North Carolina and registered by
Jim Schwarz of
Jim's Hostas of Iowa (now owned by
Uniquely
Hostas of Wisconsin) in 2005.
It is a medium size plant about 15
inches high by 24 inches wide with medium green foliage
that has creamy white streaked variegation. The leaves
are twisted, folded, heavily rippled, serrated and
slightly shiny on top. Pure white, tubular flowers bloom
from mid-July into August.
