This cultivar of unidentified parentage was registered by
Jim Schwarz of
Jim's Hostas of Iowa (now owned by
Uniquely
Hostas of Wisconsin) in 2002. It is a large size plant about 22 inches high by 50
inches wide with shiny, medium green foliage. The leaves
are slightly corrugated, very wavy and droopy. Pale
purple, funnel shape flowers bloom in August.
From the
Field Guide to Hostas by Mark Zilis (2014), "...for years I have been trying to convince rooms full
of people that there is some value to this incredibly
distinct cultivar...its floppiness is not found in any
other hosta."
