"Ogon
Himechirifu is small and not so yellow. A specimen
observed does not look at all like H. 'Tokudama'. Needs
further study."
Mikiko Lockwood in an article on The Hosta Library titled,
A Little About Japanese Hosta Terms defines the term chirifu
as speckled, mottled or overall variegated and the term ogon or oogon as gold or yellow. |
