A non-registered cultivar of unidentified parentage, this large size hosta was originated by Dr. Dick and Jane Ward of Ohio. It has bright, medium green colored foliage which is flat and shiny on top.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), this cultivar is sometimes mistakenly labeled as 'Thelma Rudolf' but it is actually named for the early hosta hybridizer, Thelma Rudolph from Illinois.
