A hybrid of H. capitata x H. 'Ruffles', this cultivar was registered by Eldren Minks of Fairway Enterprises in Minnesota in 1990. The clump of medium green foliage grows to about 10 inches  high with a width of 22 inches. It bears medium purple flowers.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...comes very close to Hosta capitata in both foliage and flower."
