Originated by
Dr. Doug Beilstein and
Mardy Beilstein of Ohio, this cultivar was registered in
2021
as a seedling of H. 'Salute' ×
H. 'Hyuga Urajiro'. It is a large size (18 inches high by
34 inches wide) hosta with medium blue-green foliage. The
lanceolate leaves are relatively flat. It bears medium
lavender, tubular flowers that bloom from July into
August and does not set seeds.
According to the Registration materials: "Displays a "center out"
arrangement of leaves that are ovate at the base
narrowing half way out where they start to fold inward
while coming to a point...emerges powdery blue turning
medium blue green later..."
A comment on the In the Country Garden &
Gift website, says that it has
H. kikutii-style
veins and white leaf bottoms.
