This tissue culture sport of H. 'Aoki' is a 1984 registration of Walters Gardens, Inc. It grows to 20 inches in height and a spread of 46 inches. The leaf marginal variegation changes from creamy yellow in the spring to white later in the growing season. The foliage is ovate in shape, slightly wavy and have average substance.

The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by Diana Grenfell (2009) states: "Variegation colors change with different light levels, remaining more yellow in deeper shade...The variegated leafy bracts are conspicuously large."
