This medium size (16
inches high by 34 inches wide) cultivar which is an open-pollinated seedling of H. 'Josephine' was registered by
Steve Chamberlain of New York in
2004. It has
shiny, medium green foliage with purple petioles. The
nearly round leaves are moderately flat, slightly
corrugated and slightly shiny on top with thick, reddish
purple petioles. Pale
lavender flowers bloom on reddish purple scapes from mid-July into August.
Viability of seeds was unknown at the time of
registration. The
registration materials state: "...shiny round green
leaves, purple petioles."
