Registered by
Stuart Asch of Michigan in 2009, this cultivar is a sport of H. 'Spring
Break'. The medium size hosta grows to about 18 inches
in height by 34 inches in width with chartreuse to gold
colored foliage. Its leaves are narrowly ovate, slightly
folded, moderately wavy, slightly twisted, slightly cupped and
shiny on top.
Very pale lavender, tubular and striped flowers bloom from mid-July into
August on scapes about 35 inches tall.
The registration information states, "...beautiful lime
green leaves that appear fluorescent in spring. Strong
flourish of purple flowers peaking towards end of July.
Similar to H. 'Spring Break' without the edge..."
The originator made the following comment on the
Fraternal Order
of Seedy Fellows website: "An all yellow sport of
Spring Break. Alike in almost every way to Spring Break
except for not having an edge and may be a bit darker in
color. Has a strong flourish of purple flowers peaking
towards the end of July."
