An H. 'Fortunei
Gigantea' seedling, this cultivar was registered in 1999 by
Peter Ruh of Ohio on behalf of the originator,
Eunice V. Fisher
of Wisconsin who introduced it in 1961. A large size (19 inches high by 34
inches wide)
plant with leaves that have a deep lobe at the base and a long,
thin tip. Pale lavender flowers from late June into July
followed by seeds in blue-green pods. According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), this cultivar "...has become a rare commodity in
collections and that is a shame. It offers attractive blue-green
foliage and a good show of flowers in July...It is one of the
few blue-leaved seedlings to originate out of 'Fortunei Gigantea'."
