Don Dean of Minnesota registered this hybrid of (H. 'Liberty Bell' × (H. 'Urajiro
Hachijo' × H. pycnophylla)) x H. 'Mikawa-no-Yuki' in 2012. It is a medium size plant about 13 inches high
with a spread of around 42 inches. The leaves are medium green
with a near white marginal variegation. They are lightly
twisted, deeply wavy, moderately corrugated, dull on top and
heavily rippled. Medium lavender, tubular flowers with
translucent edges bloom in August.
Mikiko Lockwood in an article on The Hosta Library titled,
A Little About Japanese Hosta Terms defines the term urajiro as white-backed or white underside.
